At Bethesda Community Development Center, we offer a wide range of programs and events that empower the local community. From our scholarship academy to community pantry to back to school rallies, We actively contribute to the community, aiming to enhance and empower its members through our efforts.

Food Packing

What we do:

Scholarship Academy

This activity give scholarship tips to high schoolers and college students on how to receive funding from various sources. It will give them the tools & instructions from experienced individuals who have actually applied these principles and were successful. They will also analyze submissions for scholarships. This activity will offer free ACT prep training. This activity will prepare students in essay writing, interviewing skills, writing skills, organizational skills for meeting deadlines for scholarships, and how to locate scholarships and grants. It will provide free transportation to college tours. It will also give scholarship money to deserving students.

Community Pantry

This activity will be conducted and ran by volunteers. It will provide those in low economic communities food and clothing. Food items will be, but not limited to, and is based on storage capacity. Fresh produce, boxed, canned, and bagged items non-perishable. Clothing and shoes of all sizes would be available. Free diapers, formula, and sanitary pads would be offered. Free classes will be offered to educate the community on cooking healthy meals, childcare classes, and personal hygiene.
